Button used to live among his friends in Button Land until The Day Of Confusion arrived in their land. They knew that it had happened in a near by realm but they never assumed that it would reach them. All the cotton in button was replaced with pineapples oddly enough but eventually he was restuffed with cotton and returned somewhat back to normal. Only difference is that button looks a lot more old and dead inside but that's probably because we are too.
